AFTER having to postpone their tour seven times, The Lovely Eggs are finally on the road.

Two years later than expected, the band will be performing at The Face Bar on Wednesday, June 1.

Mixing punk rock and psychedelia, The Lovely Eggs are touring their latest album, I Am Moron.

The band recently collaborated with punk legend Iggy Pop, who contributes vocals on the single I, Moron.

The duo is made up of Holly Ross and David Blackwell, who are also married.

They will be joined on tour by Arch Femmesis, an electro art-punk outfit, and Thick Richard, a performance poet with punk sensibilities.

Ms Ross says: “Being in The Lovely Eggs, we’re kind of used to surreal experiences but collaborating with Iggy Pop takes the biscuit.

“It’s actually unbelievable– for him just to say nothing but moron over and over again fitted in with the sentiment of the song perfectly.

“He just got it– we are all morons,

“In a world of moronic things, in a world of moronic ideas, you are moron, I am moron, we are moron.”

The Lovely Eggs are performing at The Face Bar on Wednesday, June 1.
