A THATCHAM woman has been jailed after being caught drug dealing in Reading.
On August 23, 2021, Thames Valley Police officers stopped Jones in Jesse Terrace, between Oxford Road and Castle Hill. She was driving an Audi A3.
Officers saw her put something down her trousers. A search under the misuse of drugs act found 70 wraps of class A drugs, worth £1,400.
She was arrested the same day, and charged on January 9 this year.
The 22-year-old of Goldsmith Close, Thatcham, appeared at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, March 19, where she pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine, both class A drugs.
At the same court, on Friday, May 3, she was jailed for two years and six months, and ordered to forfeit drugs, her mobile phone and cash.
Investigating officer PC James Dunwell, based at Reading police station, said: “We will proactively target and prosecute offenders and our activity will be both visible and covert aimed at disrupting and pursuing offenders involved in the supply of drugs.
