SOUTH Reading residents will be able to have their say on the council’s new draft transport strategy.
Reading Borough Council’s plan lays out an ambitious plan, which runs up to 2040, and is currently out for consultation with five drop-in sessions taking place, including one at Whitley Library on November 21.
Visitors will be able to speak to members of the council’s transport team about the plan, which promotes car alternatives through the provision of better bus and rail services and improved walking and cycling facilities. The ambition is to reduce congestion and tackle poor air quality.
The drop-in session takes place from 1pm-7pm and is open to all.
