A businessman who claims he tried to buy Reading Football Club has spoken out against current owner Dai Yongge and Nigel Howe.
German businessman Daniel Loitz was reportedly in talks to purchase the club back in January before negotiations quickly broke down.
The takeover saga is still not resolved with Rob Couhig’s acquisition of the club still ongoing.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Loitz said: “I swore to keep my mouth shut but it’s the same as it always was and justice is important.
“Dai is fooling everyone. How I was insulted by you when I published confidential emails and attacked him publicly and not because I was keen on media coverage but out of a sense of justice.
“I even told them to take legal action against me. I’m happy to pay. Nothing happened. Howe, Dai and his lawyers are fooling everyone. Chinese pride seems too big to let go. All the best to all the people who have Reading in their heart.”
It was reported that Loitz’ bid for the club was in the region of £28m and that he had planned to bring former tenants London Irish Rugby Club back to the town.
