A child has died following a crash on the M4 between Reading and Bracknell involving a minibus.

Emergency services were called to a slip road between junctions 11 and 8 at around 2:30pm on Sunday, May 11.

The vehicle crash took place on the M4 eastbound junction 10 exit slip road onto the A329M near Wokingham.

The Thames Valley Air Ambulance, police and the South Central Ambulance Service were on the scene as the motorway was closed in both directions.

Thames Valley Police said: “Sadly, a child died in the collision and our thoughts remain with the family who are being supported at this extremely difficult time.

“Other passengers sustained serious injuries, requiring hospital treatment. We would ask motorists to continue to avoid this area.”
