YOUNGSTERS are looking good on the pitch, thanks to a donation of new kit.
Team members of the U15 Arrows, part of Caversham AFC, have received £500 to buy the new strips, courtesy of housebuilders Bovis Homes.
The firm, part of the Vistry Group, is currently building a new development called Emmer Green Drive, off Kidmore End Road.
The donation has been welcomed by the team’s coach, Biswa Nanayakkara.
“Thank you so much to Vistry for their very generous sponsorship,” they said.
“We are thrilled that they are supporting our children and helping promote our community project for youth development, teamwork, leadership, football skills and life skills.
“They can rest assured that their kind donation is being put to good use, as anyone can see from the smiles on the boys’ faces.
“We are so grateful to have Vistry as part of our team.”

Emmer Green Drive comprises two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom houses and is being created on a 29-acre site that used to be the home to Reading Golf Club site. Reading Borough Council granted planning permission for the 223-home development last year, and Vistry was appointed in April.
Marketing manager for Vistry Thames Valley, Alix Laflin, said: “We are keen to get involved in supporting the local community as part of the new development taking shape at Emmer Green Drive.
“We were very happy to give £500 to the Caversham AFC U15 Arrows so that they could purchase new team shirts.
“We know the young players get a lot from being part of the team and hope the new shirts help them feel even more proud to represent the club.”
