THE HIGH Commissioners of two Caribbean countries will host a T20 cricket match at The Atrium Health Club, Scours Lane, in what will also serve as a celebration of Caribbean culture.

St Vincent and the Grenadines and Barbados will battle with bat and ball on Sunday, August 20, with visitors able to indulge in traditional food, drinks and music.

There will also be an opportunity for two lucky visitors to win a five-night luxury stay in Beachcombers Hotel’s Presidential Suite, St Vincent and the Grenadines, with flights covered by Virgin Atlantic, in an on-the-day raffle.

The event will be attended by cricketers and visitors from all over the country, with coaches travelling in from London, High Wycombe, Manchester and Birmingham.

Live music will be provided by SVG’s DJ Dr Freeze and Bajan DJ Paulie, whose tunes will be enjoyed alongside delicacies such as curry goat, potato pudding and pelau food, as well as Vincentian Hairoun beer and Vincy Rum Punch at the bar.

Tickets are £10 and are sold on the door. Gates open at 11am, with the match starting at 1pm.
