READING’S The Hexagon is set for a visit from a former MP, novelist, TV and radio star, and podcaster.
Gyles Brandreth is bringing his latest live show, Can’t Stop Talking, to the venue when he goes on tour in October.
Following work as an MP, time as a TV presenter, and regular appearances on Countdown and Just a Minute, Brandreth will perform a one-man show full of name-drops and anecdotes.
As well as his time in politics, he has also appeared on TV shows such as Celebrity Gogglebox, QI, The One Show, and Would I Lie to You?
He also co-hosts a podcast celebrating words and language with Countdown’s Susie Dent called Something Rhymes With Purple.
He currently holds the world record for the longest after-dinner speech at 12 and a half hours long, and has also taken the Audience Award for his show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Gyles Brandreth: Can’t Stop Talking is showing at The Hexagon on Sunday, October 1, from 3pm.
