Latest figures show that Berkshire is now home to more than 80,000 companies for the first time – highlighting its popularity as a place to do business.
A total of 80,015 businesses are registered in the county, according to company secretarial and formations specialists Inform Direct, based on statistics from Companies House and the Office for National Statistics.
This milestone announcement follows Berkshire enjoying a record year for company formations during 2023, when 10,571 new businesses were established.
John Korchak, managing director at Inform Direct, said: “These latest figures show that Berkshire clearly provides a supportive environment for new business ventures.
