THE RISING Sun Arts Centre is set to welcome some home-grown talent for a special show with Club Velocity.

Ben Marwood, who hails from Reading, is making his much anticipated return the venue in July.

Marwood was among those performing alongside Frank Turner at the 2012 Summer Olympics opening ceremony, after having supported Turner on his headline tour the previous year.

He has released three full length albums and five solo EPs as well as three split EPs with other artists.

He will be joined by Windsor singer-songwriter with folk sensibilities, Matt Stockl, Reading’s own Jess Tuthill, and Blake Cateris, who hails from Australia, making their first gig appearance in the town.

Club Velocity Presents: Ben Marwood is taking place at the Rising Sun Arts on Friday, July 26, from 8pm.
