An Asian fusion eatery has taken over an Italian restaurant unit in Reading town centre that has been vacant for years.
The Dolce Vita Italian restaurant at The Village mall in the town centre closed in June 2018.
The unit was unoccupied ever since, being vacant for seven years.
It has now been taken over by the Take Your Time Asian fusion restaurant, which opened in the summer.
Menu items include soup noodles, burgers, pastas, fried rice and steak.
To drink, guests can enjoy hot and cold drinks, special teas and a selection of wine, beer and spirits.
Sunny Leung, a member of the Take Your Time team, said: “We’re so happy to finally open!
“Our team has worked hard to bring something fresh and unique to the local dining scene, and we’re excited to share our love for Asian fusion cuisine with the community.”
Photos shared by Take Your Time show a mix of prawns, stir fry, burgers and chips sold there.
The menu is written in English and Chinese.
Take Your Time won permission to sell alcohol on and off the premises from 11am to 11pm each day from Reading Borough Council.
The licensing application was granted in August.
The restaurant benefits from indoor and outdoor seating on a balcony overlooking The Oracle and the River Kennet.
