Thames Valley Police has made two arrests in connection with the rape of a girl in Reading.
The victim, a teenage girl, was approached by two men.
The victim was walking on Oxford Road near to Beresford Road just after 10pm on Saturday (November 15).
The offenders and the victim then walked to Prince of Wales Avenue between Elm Park Road and Albany Road. At that location, the victim was raped by the offenders.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We have arrested two 26-year-old men, both from Reading, and both arrested on suspicion of rape.
“They are still in police custody at this time.
“At the weekend, we made a public appeal for three Good Samaritans who helped the victim after the offence to come forward.
“We are pleased to confirm that the woman who helped the victim has been identified. However, we are still appealing for two males, possibly boys in their teens, who intervened and had an altercation with the offenders in Prince of Wales Avenue around 10.25pm.
“If you are the Good Samaritans or know who they are, please contact the force. You can either visit a police station, contact us via our website or call 101, quoting investigation reference number 43250584676.”
