Police have confirmed that an arrest has been made in connection with an attempted rape and sexual assault in Reading.
On Sunday, a woman in her twenties was approached by a male who sexually assaulted and tried to rape her in Market Place in the town centre.
She is being supported by specially trained officers.
A 24-year-old man of no fixed abode has been arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and sexual assault and remains in custody at this time.
