A MAJOR accounting firm has finally completed moving into its new office here in Reading.

PwC UK has officially moved into its new Reading office at One Station Hill, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s continued investment in the Thames Valley region.

PwC occupies floors five and six of the development, taking over more than 41,000 sq ft of premium workspace, which will now be home to 650 PwC employees and 23 partners.

It marks a move from Forbury Place, where PwC has been located for the past 13 years.

The floors have been designed to reflect PwC’s ways of working, with agile working zones, smart lockers, wellbeing rooms, and a rooftop terrace that supports both informal collaboration and fitness activities.

This means employees benefit from access to a wide range of amenities that promote a healthy work-life balance–including a 60-person gym and secure cycle storage.

Gareth Murfitt, Reading Market Senior Partner, PwC UK, said: “Opening our new Reading office at One Station Hill marks a significant milestone for PwC and underlines our commitment to the Thames Valley region.

“As one of the UK’s fastest-growing urban economies, with enhanced connectivity through the Elizabeth Line and upgraded rail links, Reading is an increasingly attractive hub for investment and talent.

“This modern, digitally enabled space has been designed to foster collaboration, inclusivity and wellbeing, while aligning with our sustainability and net zero ambitions.

“By bringing our people together in a dynamic environment, we’re reinforcing our long-term presence in the region and strengthening our ability to support clients and contribute to local economic growth.”

Carl Sizer, Chief Markets Officer, PwC UK, added: “Reading has long been an important city for PwC and our move to this impressive new building underscores our ongoing investment in, and commitment to, the area. Our offices across the country connect our people to the places our clients operate – bringing local understanding, national reach and deeper partnerships.”
