Reading FC left it late as they pulled off a stunning comeback to defeat high flying Bradford City to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Many fans were fearing the worst after news broke that star striker Jack Marriott, who has scored 16 league goals in 23 games, is injured and is likely to miss the remainder of the campaign.
With an already tough task on their hands against Bradford, who are pushing for promotion, the Royals’ job was made more difficult when they fell behind to a goal from Matthew Pennington.
However, Paddy Lane scored just his second goal in the league to bring the game level in the 90th minute before a dramatic comeback was completed in the 97th minute when substitute Matt Ritchie headed in a winner.
Reacting to the win, one fan said: “What a moment! In front of Club 1871. People complained about Ritchie and Lane coming on and look at this.”
Another said: “Excatly the win we needed after a drop in results. I hope everyone recovers from injury asap, as we need more depth. I wish we could play like we did in the final 10 minutes more often.”
Another fan added: “So glad we won but why does it take us to go behind and start playing in the final 10 minutes to actually take the game to Bradford and get something. Richardson’s tactics frustrate the hell out of me.”

One more said: “Massive win, I don’t know how we did it, but we did. PS, please start with wingers on the wing and Patton up top. Much more energy going forward.”
Reading are now just one point off the play-off places and have a game in hand over 6th placed Huddersfield Town.
Next up is an away trip to Luton Town, who are in 10th and four points behind Reading.
