AN EMERGENCY alert has been sent out by the Royal Berkshire Hospital due to an influx of people wanting to access its emergency services.
At lunchtime today, it posted that it had 150 patients currently waiting in its Emergency Department (formerly known as A&E), and was receiving a new admission every three minutes.
The note reads: “We want to ensure those who need life-saving treatment can get it. Please use NHS 111 to make sure you’re getting the most appropriate service for you.”
