From today (June 9) you can sign up to receive emergency text alerts from the AWE (Atomic Weapons Establishment).
These alerts are designed to notify you in the event of a radiation emergency at AWE, guiding you on what actions to take.
To sign up, residents, businesses, and local organisations can text “A” to 0786 003 0391 for Aldermaston, “B” for Burghfield, or “Both” for both sites.
You will receive a confirmation message once registered. To unsubscribe, text “Stop A,” “Stop B,” or “Stop Both” to the same number.
