Reading Vegan Festival returned on Saturday, September 21, hosting stalls from more than 40 vendors, including street food and cakes, ethically-produced products, eco-friendly gifts, and charities.
It also hosted talks and workshops from campaigners, nutritionists, pet experts, and comedians, as well as a dedicated zone for children.
All of the businesses featured are fully vegan with an ethical focus as part of the festival’s mission of supporting vegan businesses and promoting causes for animals, for the environment, and for human health.
A spokesperson for Sparkle Vegan Events said: “Yet again we were blown away by the positive response to this year’s Reading Vegan Festival.
“Despite having a very wet start, we had a great turnout with lots of familiar and new faces happy to see us taking over the town again.
“Broad Street was filled with cakes and crafts; attendees enjoyed a wide variety of hot food on Market Place; and the stalls plus talks and workshops inside The Market House were very well attended.
They explained: “Organising an event of this scale is always a lot of work so I was extremely grateful to have such an excellent team of local volunteers on the day.
“The Mayor of Reading also attended and said that he had a fantastic time.”
