Entrepreneur of the Year award., Stumbles Cycles, sponsor Rabbits Vehicle Hire
A cyclist who runs a small, pay-what-you-can, mobile bicycle repair service has been put forward for the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Jamie Taylor of Stumbles Cycles “is helping some of the most vulnerable people in Reading stay on bikes they require for work, travel and school runs,” said a nominator.
“Jamie works tirelessly to help people in really tough situations keep cycling.
They said his contribution ran from “Dr Bike sessions, to volunteering at Reading Bike Kitchen and Kidical Mass, in addition to running a full time almost 24/7 bike repair shop where people pay what they can afford.”
The award, sponsored by Boyes Turner, recognises companies, large or small, showing a commitment to working with the community. There are two awards for firms with under 50 and over 50 employees.
