Reading FC owner Dai Yongge is now open to offers for the club’s Bearwood Park Training Ground, separate to the sale of the club.
With talks still ongoing with interested parties regarding the takeover of the club, but there is currently no deal in place or exclusivity with any parties.
Therefore, the owner is now considering all options to secure funding for the club until new ownership is completed, which includes the potential sale of Bearwood Park.
Bearwood is built on a heritage site which means that any potential buyers would be likely to find it difficult to build property on the land.
Reading’s first-team moved from their previous home at Hogwood to Bearwood in the 2019/20 season, while the academy staff and teams transitioned to the new training ground throughout 2020.
The club will aim to communicate with fans when there are significant developments.
