A TOOL company is moving from Slough into new premises in Maidenhead.
Stanley Black & Decker will be based from the new Tempo Maidenhead site, after leasing 30,066 sq ft on the top floor of the building, which is being constructed by Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM). They will move in when the buildings are completed next spring.
Alan Carswell, Property Director at Stanley Black & Decker said the site offered fantastic space, a great location and a comprehensive amenity
“This makes Tempo a perfect fit for our company,” he said.
“The values the building holds of sustainability, community and quality align seamlessly with our business goals, making our future move to Tempo Maidenhead exciting – both for our staff and the business.”
Rob Codling, Senior Fund Manager at LGIM said: “We are incredibly happy to welcome Stanley Black & Decker and to accomplish a deal before practical completion.
“This letting confirms that the market for occupiers seeking high-quality space for their employees is continuing to thrive. We strongly believe that a commitment to delivering an outstanding product with abundant amenities will attract the best occupiers and generate a strong rental income for our investors.”
Toby Lumsden, Tempo Maidenhead representative and director at Bray Fox Smith, said: “We are thrilled Stanley Black & Decker have chosen to join the building and our future community.
“The best in-class space matches their market-leading brand, and we are eager to welcome them as our first occupier, when we complete in Spring 2024. It’s been a pleasure to be involved in the best deal recently seen in the Thames Valley.”
Taking space on the ground floor is Oxford-based Missing Bean, specialists in ethicall- sourced artisan coffee. In the evening, their cafe will transform into a wine bar.
Tempo sits within L&G’s Managed Fund which invests in freehold and leasehold property across the UK. Stanley Black & Decker were advised by Colliers. Knight Frank and Bray Fox Smith acted as the office leasing agents for the development.
