Thames Valley planning and development consultancy Lichfields has appointed two new planners as it continues to see strong demand for its services and expands its operations.

Ellie Roe and Mark Battersby have joined the company’s Apex Plaza offices in Reading.

Ellie has relocated from the firm’s Cardiff office and will work on a number of public and private sector projects including advising on the development potential of sites, pursuing planning applications, preparing representations to emerging Local Plans and due diligence.

Having completed an MSc at the University of Reading, Mark will also be involved in similar work, supporting the senior team on a number of important projects across the Thames Valley area.

The appointments come on the back of continued expansion for the Thames Valley office, which has a strong team and pipeline of future work on a number of major development proposals across the area.

Nick Kirby, planning director at the Thames Valley office, said: “We are committed to bringing on the next generation of planning talent to ensure that the business is equipped with the skills to meet future needs.
