A CELEBRATION of two popular drinks is to come to Reading next month.
The Great Hall at the University of Reading is to be the venue for the annual Gin and Rum Festival.
The event will feature a specially curated selection of drinks from distilleries, live entertainment, and music from DJs.
In all, there will be 120 varieties to choose from, include a new Tequila bar bringing a taste of Mexico to the town.
The founder of the Gin and Rum Festival, Bobby Nanua, said: “We’ve had such a fantastic year touring the UK and we’re excited to be bringing this experience to Reading once again.
“We always love it when we return back to cities we’ve visited before, they become a second home for us.”
Entry costs £15 for a session, and the ticket price includes a reusable stainless-steel straw, a G&R branded Copa glass with carry satchel for safe keeping.
There will be complimentary samples and talks from the guest distillers and a premium selection of mixers and tonics available.
There will also be an exclusive Gin and Rum guide with expertly crafted garnish suggestions.
The event runs on Saturday, October 15, with sessions from 12.15pm to 4.30pm, or 6.30pm to 11pm. Both are only open to over 18s.
