Thames Valley Division 2B

WOKINGHAM 2s are in fourth position after they added 25 points to their tally with a two-wicket success against top of the table SONNING.

Peter Higginbottom scored 59 in the first innings for Sonning to help them to a total of 185 from 52 overs.

However, the Oaks got over the line with two wickets to spare after 47.4 overs with a half century each from Hanson Martin and Jayden Barson before Hunter Pogson’s runs saw them clinch victory.

BINFIELD are in fifth spot following their fruitful away trip to Alderhsot.

Binfield put 183 on the board before they skittled their opponents all out for 50.

Thames Valley Division 1

READING remain in sixth following their draw with Boyne Hill.

A spectacular partnership from Firaz Amjad (64*) and Praful Waghela (84*) helped Reading to 228-2 as they could only draw the match.

EVERSLEY dropped down to ninth after their away loss to Falkland.

James Magowan racked up 82 runs for Eversley, but they were beaten by six wickets.

Thames Valley Division 3A

FINCHAMPSTEAD soared to the summit with a six-wicket away triumph at READING 2s.

Reading batted first and set Finch a chase of 195 to try and win the match, which included a half century from Pav Chima and 67 from Luke Beaven. Finch bowler Emmanual Bawa took four wickets.

A score of 49 not out from Ben Salter saw Finch on their way to picking up the win as they got past the target after 38.5 overs.

WARGRAVE 2s are in third after they made it four wins from seven matches with a six wicket success over Purley on Thames as Mandip Sohi totalled 54 to help them see off Purley.

Home Counties Division 1

FINCHAMPSTEAD lead the way in the standings and notched another win under their belts at home to Oxford Downs.

James Woodford was in fine form for Finch as he collected six wickets.

A partnership between Michael O’Donahue (52) and Jed Crerar (44) knocked Finch to victory.

WOKINGHAM stay rooted to the bottom of the table after their four wicket loss at Datchet.

The Oaks scored big in the first innings with 76 from Sukhmeet Kang being added to with 107 not out by Samarjeet Singh.

However, an impressive batting display from the hosts saw them win with four wickets to spare despite Wokingham bowler Iain Muirden picking up four wickets.

WARGRAVE were held to a draw with Aston Rowant.

Wargrave declared in the first innings as they totted up a massive score of 319 which saw an exceptional 158 not out from Euan Woods.

The visitors ended on 207-5 which saw the match drawn.

BCMB Championship

BRACKNELL UNITED are up to second following their 34-run win over Great Kingshill.

Amol Tyagi top scored with 39 before four wickets from Omar Khalid helped Bracknell secure the victory.

SHINFIELD lost out at home by three wickets to WEST READING

They chased down a score of 272 to win the match.

CROWTHORNE & CROWN WOOD fell down after their five wicket away defeat at Knotty Green.
