DOG collars will be under discussion next week, as a priest explores man’s best friend in a theological context.
Cafe Theologique is returning to ZeroDegrees Bar in Reading’s Bridge Street.
The monthly event is a space for people to explore contemporary issues from a faith perspective.
The guest speaker is Revd Dr Fiona Haworth, Associate Priest at St Peter Mancroft, Norwich and Coordinator of the Ministry Experience Scheme in the Diocese. Fiona is a member of the Iona Community and is committed to working for justice, peace and the integrity of creation.
In a talk entitled Of God, Dogs and People: thinking theologically about human-canine relationships, she will be sharing from her PhD research.
After the talk, there will be opportunities to debate and discuss.
The event takes place from 7pm on Monday, May 13.
