A WOMEN walking in Southcote was sexually assaulted by a cyclist who smacked her bottom before pedalling away.
Now, Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened around 10pm on Wednesday, June 30.
The victim, who is in her 30s, was walking along Bath Road near the Circuit Lane roundabout and the Marshall Volkswagen dealership.
The cyclist approached her, smacked her rear and then ignored his protests before cycling off along Bath Road.
The offender is described as aged in his twenties and was wearing a black or light grey flat cap and a light grey or green jacket that came just below the waist.
Investigating officer PC Stephen Ashman, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who was in the vicinity of Bath Road at the time of the incident to please get in touch with police if they have witnessed anything suspicious.
“I would particularly like to hear from anybody who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam, to please check this and call us if it has captured the incident.
“The victim was not injured, but this was a distressing incident nonetheless, and I would urge anybody who recognises the description or who has any information to please call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 43210289065, or make a report online.
