A 31-YEAR-OLD woman from Cane End has been banned from driving for 18 months after being found guilty of drink-driving.

Imogen Parfitt, from Fox Heath Gardens, was stopped on the A4155 Henley Road at Playhatch around 10pm on Thursday, May 18.

Officers had seen the Volvo C30 she was driving swing wildly across the road.

She failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.

At the police station, another breath test found she had 85ug per 100ml of breath at the police station, more than double the legal limit of 35ug per 100ml of breath.

She was charged the following day.

At Reading Magistrates Court on Thursday, November 9, Parfitt pleaded guilty to one count of driving a motor vehicle on a road or public place whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit.

In addition to the ban, she was fined £461 and ordered to pay a £184 surcharge.

Investigating officer PC Louise Savory said: “Imogen Parfitt produced an evidential breath sample over twice the legal limit.

“Drink-driving is never acceptable and will always be dealt with robustly.

“It puts not only the driver but all other road users at risk of significant harm as a result.”
