POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a dog bite incident in Reading last week.

Between 3.10pm–3.40pm on Sunday, August 10, a woman in her eighties was walking her dog in Albert Road Park, when she was approached by a black dog.

The dog bit the victim on the calf, causing an injury which required hospital treatment.

She has since been discharged.

The suspected owner of the black dog is described as a woman in her fifties or sixties with blonde or grey hair, and is thought to have been wearing summery clothes, possibly a dress.

Investigating officer, PC Eduard Simicianu, said: “We’re appealing for information about the identity of this woman and dog.
