THE ROYAL Berks Charity is hosting its latest Walk for Wards next month, fundraising in aid of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The event takes place in The Black Barn, Bradfield, where participants can take on selected routes, designed for all ages and abilities, through the area’s natural woodland.
Five-kilometre and ten-kilometre routes are available, welcoming pets along for the stroll, and the event also features a children’s scavenger hunt.
New for this year, the hunt will be led by Frankie the Fundraising Fox, who will be making appearances throughout the day.
All funds raised will go directly towards improving patient care and facilities at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The event is also seeking stall-holders as part of its event village, including crafts, food, produce, or activities– with particular interest with BBQ food vendors.
Martin Butler, Community and Events Fundraising Manager at Royal Berks Charity, said: “We’re so excited to bring Walk for Wards back for another year.
“We want the event to be bigger and better than ever, it’s a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a great day out, and raise funds for a cause close to home.”
Walk for Wards takes place on Sunday, September 21, at The Black Barn, Rushall Farm, Bradfield (near Bradfield College).
Registration begins from 9.30am on the day, and the walk starting at 10.30am.
