IT WAS a full house at the Earley and Woodley hustings held on Sunday in Lower Earley.
Trinity Church in Chalfont Close was the venue, and its minister, Jon Salmon, moderated proceedings.
Four of the five candidates standing in the new constituency were present: Pauline Jorgensen for the Conservatives, Tahir Maher for the Liberal Democrats, Gary Shacklady for the Green Party, and Yuan Yang for Labour. Not present was Alastair Hunter for the SDP.
Around 200 people filled the church to hear the candidates answer questions on a range of issues including the climate emergency, the use of food banks, immigration, finance, and life in the future.
The event was organised by churches from across Earley and Woodley, aided by Wokingham Today editor Phil Creighton.
