An IT specialist has been jailed for 20 months after admitting an assault that left a man injured in Reading.
Solomon Bramble, 37, became violent on the evening of 5 June, a court heard. He pleaded guilty to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The court was told Bramble had nine previous convictions for 10 offences, including a 2007 ABH incident in which he punched another boy at school. He had also previously been sentenced to 32 months in prison for conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Defending, Mr Rimmer said Bramble possessed “particular skills in IT and particularly in software problem solving”, and had recently been approached about work in software roles on the outskirts of Reading.
Sentencing, Judge Blake said Bramble had performed “a calculation” in entering his plea and did not merit more than a 10% reduction.
Bramble, who now lives in Hampshire, was jailed for 20 months.
