ONE OF Reading’s festival calendar staples has fired the starting pistol and announced the first list of artists who will be making up the line-up this spring.

Are You Listening? Festival has named 20 artists who will be taking to the stage when the event returns to venues across the town in May.

Reading’s own The Borough are among those announced, who have charted something of a rise in recent months as they graced the likes of Readipop Fiesta with engaging, experimental, and at times ethereal punk and surf-rock mixes.

They’ll be joined by Dan Le Sac, who has returned to live performance after some time away.

Dan le Sac has worked as producer and composer behind the likes of videogame soundtracks for Disney, as well as indie titles, including in the Tron franchise, both Subsurface Circular and Quarantine Circular, and Arcsmith.

He returned to live performances last year following the release of Live in Places, an album which celebrated his eight years of sharing the stage with long-time collaborator Scroobius Pip.
