Thames Valley Police is appealing for three people who helped a teenage girl following a rape in Reading to come forward.
The incident happened on Saturday, 15 November, shortly after 22:00. The victim was walking along Oxford Road, near Beresford Road, when she was approached by two men who attempted to speak with her.
The men and the victim then walked to Prince of Wales Avenue, between Elm Park Road and Albany Road, where the offenders raped her.
Both suspects are described as white, bald, slim and clean-shaven.
Detective Inspector Sukhveer Sokhi said the force understood the concern such an incident would cause in the local community, adding that officers were carrying out a “thorough investigation”.
Police are particularly keen to trace three Good Samaritans believed to have assisted the victim shortly after the assault.
At around 22:25 on Prince of Wales Avenue, two males—thought to be teenagers—intervened and became involved in an altercation with the offenders.
A short time later, as the victim walked into Elm Park Road, a woman described as Black stopped to help her.
“We are appealing to these three Good Samaritans to come forward, because what you saw and heard will help our investigation,” DI Sokhi said.
