ROAD closures are in place around Reading town centre as emergency services tackle a blaze at Station Hill.

Thames Valley Police said that the affected area is from Forbury roundabout to Forbury Road, parts of Friar Street and Friar West.

They are working on allowing access to homes and hotels that are not affected by the blaze.

Reading Buses has confirmed there are delays to its services caused by the road closures, with town centre stops around the Reading Station area shut while emergency crews work at the scene.

In a tweet, the firm said: “Blagrave St is closed now All services are starting from North Inter change, Trooper Potts Way.
