Sir John Madejski will look back on his time as Reading FC owner at a Q&A event at the Purple Turtle on July 15.

Reading fans will also have a chance to meet him and ask him questions.

He will reflect on his career in business and football, firstly as the Reading-based owner of Auto Trader, then as owner of Reading Football Club.

Sir John built a new stadium for the club and oversaw their rise to the Premier League for the first time in the club’s history in 2006.

He will also give his views on what went wrong for Reading FC after new owners took over and will discuss Reading FC’s new ownership – and what he thinks the future will look like for the club.

“I’m looking forward to meeting Reading fans and reminiscing with them about my time at the club,” he said.
