A plan to convert a riverside pub in Reading into flats has been put on hold.
The Jolly Anglers along the Kennet Side has been closed for two years.
A plan to turn it into 16 flats has been put on hold.
Elsewhere, two new end-of-terrace homes are set to replace a bungalow and advertising space in East Reading, and former shop storage is to be turned into flats above a KFC.
These are some of the planning decisions made by Reading Borough Council recently.

Conversion of pub into 16 flats withdrawn (PL/25/0513)
An application to convert the Jolly Anglers into a 16-bed home of multiple occupation (HMO) has been withdrawn by the applicant.
The conversion would have created 16 bedrooms with four living rooms with shared facilities.
The Jolly Anglers has been closed since November 2023, following a £100,000 revamp that transformed the garden with a pool and a beach-style bar.
The pub was put on the market both prior to and after its closure, most recently in June, in an advert that has since been deleted.
Flats above KFC approved (PL/25/1105)
A plan to convert rooms above the KFC in Broad Street into apartments has been approved.
The American fast food chain occupies the ground and first floor of the building, with the second floor previously being used as storage for a clothing store.
The second floor is now set to be converted into two three-bed flats.
Planning officer Gary Miles judged that the conversion meets all statutory guidelines, so the project was duly granted.
Two terrace homes replace bungalow and advertising (PL/25/1061)
Two new four-bed terraced homes will replace a bungalow and advertising site in the university area of Reading.
The site in Addington Road previously consisted of a bungalow, which was demolished in 2024, four advertising boards and unofficial parking spaces.
A developer won permission to build two new terraced homes there in June 2021.
A change to remove basement space contained in the approved plans was submitted in July but withdrawn this month.
New home in Norcot approved (PL/21/1340)
A plan for a new two storey, two-bed home in Thornton Road, West Reading, has been approved.
The site is located at the meeting point with Thornton Mews opposite a basketball court.
Two previous plans for a home on this site were refused.
However, planning officer Connie Davis judged that this most recent application complied with policies. The project was duly approved on November 17.
