Reading FC midfielder Lewis Wing has caught the eye with his performances this campaign and has been named in the League One Team of the Season.

Having left Wycombe Wanderers last summer, the Royals managed to sign Wing despite interest from Championship clubs, including Queens Park Rangers.

The 28-year-old has treated Royals fans to several exceptional performances throughout the 2023/24 campaign which saw him total 10 goals and eight assists in League One.

Seven of Wing’s 10 goals were scored from outside the box which means his long range shooting is the best of any player in England’s top four tiers.

Wing was also named as Reading’s player of the season after winning a large majority of the vote from the fans.

Full League One team of the season: Jensen, Burrows, Cashin, Piergianni, Watson, Pack, Wing, Brannagan, Mason-Clark, Poku, Mendez-Laing
