Reading FC are reportedly one of several clubs interested in signing free agent Fabian Delph.
The former England international is available on a free transfer after leaving Everton in the summer.
The 32-year-old is reportedly attracting attention from Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Sheffield United, West Brom and Reading.
Delph has struggled to find regular football in the past few seasons, making just 35 Premier League appearances in three seasons with Everton.
After beginning his career with Leeds United, Delph became a pivotal figure at Aston Villa where he made more than 100 Premier League appearances in six seasons in the Midlands.
He then made the move to Manchester City in 2015 and despite never being a first-team regular, Delph was a versatile member of City’s squad and helped them achieve success.
Playing at left-back in Pep Guardiola’s team that earned 100 points on their way to the Premier League title in 2017/18, Delph played 22 games.
Delph won two Premier League titles during his stay with City and also racked up 20 international caps with England.
Reading most recently recruited Andy Carroll on a free transfer on a short term deal and still have one spot to fill in their 25 man squad.
