Emma-Jane Taylor “relentlessly fights each day for survivors of child sexual abuse to be heard, seen and believed,” said her nominator for Community Champion.
“She has taken many conversations to Parliament, is regularly seen in the media and is the founder of the Project 90-10 charity and NotMyShame global movement,” they added.
“Her daily efforts are inspiring for everyone, and she achieved for the world to recognise the NotMyShame movement on May 1, with various activities happening around the world including a concert in Florida,” they said.
The Community Champion award is sponsored by Reading Football Club. It celebrates a person who works tirelessly in their community, in the voluntary sector, as a carer, for a community group or in public service who devotes their time to others.
