A YOUNG READING FC once again showed their exceptional promise by claiming a League One victory for the first time this season.
The win gives the Ruben Selles’ team a much needed three points as Reading won for the first time in the league since February.
It was the youth that inspired the team to victory as Selles opted to make seven changes to the starting line-up following a dismal away display at Port Vale.
Caylan Vickers’ driving run inspired Reading and earned them a stroke of fortune as a deflection looped up over former Royals keeper Luke Southwood in what proved to be the only goal of the game.
Next up for Reading is a home match against Stevenage, who have won all three of their opening League One matches.
