A ROTARY group’s display of artworks will entertain visitors to Pangbourne next week.
Organised by Pangbourne Rotary Club, an Art Exhibition and Sale of paintings by local artists will raise funds for charity.
To add to the artistic interest the club also hosts an annual Schools Art Competition, which it says is becoming increasingly popular.
Participating schools this year are: Brookfields, Birch Copse, Englefield, Pangbourne, and Whitchurch.
All proceeds from the exhibition will go to Wokingham charity Dingley’s Promise, and to the Rotary Club of Pangbourne’s own charitable trust, which donates more than £30,000 to good causes each year.
Dingley’s Promise is a charity dedicated to giving every child with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) the best start in life.
It supports children through tailored specialist help in its early years centres, provides outreach support to families, spreads inclusive practice through training for professionals and lobbies decision makers for policy change to improve the lives of children and families.
The Rotary Club of Pangbourne meets in Theale on Mondays, at 7pm for 7.30pm start.
The group is always looking for more community minded people to join them in making a difference to the lives of others through activities and fundraising.
Pangbourne Rotary Club’s Art exhibition preview and opening event with refreshments will take place at Pangbourne Village Hall on Friday, March 6, from 6pm until 9pm.
The exhibition, with a raffle, refreshments, and craft stalls, will be open for browsing and purchases on both Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8, from 10am until 4pm.
