The first ever Miss Great Britain Berkshire winner has been revealed after being hosted at Easthampstead Park.
Aleesha Hicks, 29, from Yateley, was crowned as the first ever Miss Great Britain Berkshire last month and will now be going on to compete at the 80th anniversary of Miss Great Britain grand final in Leicester in October.
She has been competing for around two years and have taken part in four live heats, placing 4th, 3rd, 2nd and now as the winner.
Aleesha said: “Pageants are sometimes controversial but I absolutely love them and I would love to show others how empowering they are. From the swimwear round, to the evening wear round, to even a one to one interview with the judges.
“I have also been busy fundraising for Cancer research UK (Miss GB charity partner) and have run two half marathons only two weeks apart in February, Race for Life 10k in May and plan to do lots more fundraising.
“I have just launched my own running club called YGT girls (you’ve got this girls) which brings together women of different ages and abilities in a safe environment to go for a run, walk or a chat in my local area. The feedback so far has been incredible and to see the ladies start to grow in confidence already is amazing.
“Most of us don’t feel confident going out for a run on the busy roads so to meet new people and find somewhere quiet outdoors has been fab.
“I work full time as a cabin manager for an airline and have done that for 8 years now! I fly all over Europe so juggling it all keeps me very busy!
