THE MET Office has issued a yellow warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms across much of the south, including Reading, on Wednesday, July 20.
The warning is in for around 1pm and is expected to last until around 9pm.
The notice warns that while most most places in the south will see only small amounts of rain, there are chances of “isolated” heavy downpours of up to 30mm per hour.
This could lead to some disruption such as flooding, and may make travel conditions difficult.
It also warns of thunderstorms, which could further compound travel conditions.
The yellow warning extends from Salisbury and Winchester, up to Gloucester, and as far east as Norwich and Canterbury.
