Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a domestic-related altercation in Reading.

Between 7pm and 8pm on Thursday (16/10) a man and woman were at the Whitley Street bus stop in the town and were involved in an altercation.

The woman, aged in her twenties, did not sustain any injuries.

A 21-year-old man from Lewisham was arrested on suspicion of domestic-related offences.

Investigating officer PC Emily Allen, from the Harm Reduction Unit, said: “I am aware that a number of people intervened in the altercation to help the victim in this case.

“I would like to thank them for helping, but I would now like to appeal to any of those who have not yet spoken to the police to please get in contact with us with witness information.
