AN ONLINE survey has been launched to help improve Royal Berkshire Fire Authority’s members’ code of conduct.
It follows the June 2020 publication of the Local Government Association (LGA) code.
Three Berkshire local authorities – Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham borough, and Slough borough – have adopted ths code, with some tweaks, mainly around the threshold on gifts and hospitality.
The Code of Conduct document outlines the standards and behaviours elected councillors are required to adhere to, on their appointment as a Fire Authority Member and is based on the Nolan Principles and the Fire Standards Code of Ethics.
The online survey is open until 9am on Friday, March 11.
