YEAR 11 students at UTC Reading are celebrating today after receiving their GCSEs and Level 2 technical qualification results.
UTC is “delighted” to see continued improvement across key subjects, with an increase in overall top grades, including grades 7-9.
It has also commended the incredible achievement of some notable individual achievements include students achieving 10 GCSEs at Grades 8 and 9.
Students are moving on to a range of exciting destinations, including courses at local sixth form providers and colleges, as well as progression into UTC Reading’s sixth form to study a wide variety of A levels and Technical qualifications in STEM subjects.
Alongside their GCSEs and technical qualifications, students have worked closely with a range of employer partners to develop work-readiness skills and career insight.
This provides real-world experiences aimed at giving students a strong foundation for future success.
Headteacher Jennie Thomson said: “I am very proud to see our Year 11 students achieving wonderful things and moving on to excellent destinations.
“Our students have shown incredible resilience and determination to succeed over the last two years and this is evident in the results seen today.
“I wish all of our students the very best of luck in their next steps and look forward to welcoming back many of our students to our sixth form for further study with us.”
