Combined Counties Division One

BERKS COUNTY climbed above Rayners Lane with an astonishing 6-1 win to move into fourth position.

The win, which is County’s fourth in their last six matches, puts them onto 58 points from 30 games.

They are on the same points as Sandhurst, two behind second place Langley and seven behind leaders FC Deportivo Galicia with two games in hand.

SANDHURST TOWN are in third after their outstanding victory over AFC Aldermaston.

With a 3-1 lead at the break, the Fizzers scored five more times in the second-half to seal an emphatic success.

WOODLEY UNITED continued their unbeaten run of form by picking up a point against Bedfont.

The Kestrels went ahead after 36 minutes with a free-kick from Joe Moriarty.

With an hour on the clock, Bedfont found a response to level.

The visitors had two players sent off in the final few minutes of the game, but they hung on to take a point.

Woodley are in 10th on 43 points from 31 games.

Woodley United manager Jordan Blake said: “Decent point against a side chasing the play-offs. We never really got going fully tonight (Tuesday) but we stuck together to take something away from the game. We know we will need to be better on Saturday in another tough away game against another play-off chasing side.”

Cherry Red Records Premier Challenge Cup

ASCOT UNITED ensured their place in the next round with a comfortable win over London Lions.

Goals from Marcus Mealing, Brendan Matthew and a brace from Usman Lalustani guided the Yellas to a 4-1 triumph to move through to the fifth round.
