A SHINFIELD community group is calling on residents to help it tackle food waste.
Helping Hand Shinfield and Spencers Wood is looking to add to its team of volunteers who help with its SHARE sessions, where people can collect items which would otherwise be heading to landfill.
Organisers are offering several opportunities, with food servers and cafe helpers needed on Mondays from 11am-2pm, with shorter shifts from 1.30pm available for those who can help clear up.
Drivers are also required to either deliver food to Helping Hand’s base at Shinfield Baptist Church or to those who are unable to attend the Monday collections.
Helpers are not required to volunteer on a weekly basis, unless they wish to do so.
