THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Reading.
The incident took place at around 7.20am on Monday, April 24, on Oxford Road at the junction with Prospect Street.
Two men approached the victim, a man in his twenties, outside the Today’s Local convenience store.
They pushed and punched the victim, with one of the offenders attempting to steal the victim’s phone – nothing was stolen in the incident.
The victim sustained scratches to his hands.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Philip Marchant, based at Reading police station, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.

Panashe Gaba, aged 19, of no fixed abode, was charged with one count of attempted robbery. He will next appear at Reading Crown Court on 23 May.
A 17-year-old boy from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been bailed.
