The incident happened on Gosbrook Road around 9.11am on Wednesday, June 5.
Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service sent a crew from nearby Caversham Road Fire Station to the scene.
On arrival, the crew wore breathing apparatus and used a single hose reel to put the blaze out.
It took them around 22 minutes.
They then handed the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
